After a gutsy draw against KSA in their fourth Elite Division fixture, MS looked stronger in their strategy and outlook for their bout against the experienced Mumbai Customs. The Cooperage Stadium was in for some action as both teams looked to stamp their authority with a win.
MS started well with some dominant play in the first half and kept possession confidently with Customs trying to guess their plot. The twist in the tale came when MS forward Ravish D helped Winger Shrinath G with a textbook through pass which eventually landed up in the net. Shrinath put MS in the drivers seat for the first half as the score read 1-0 in favour of MS.
Come the second half and there was a different story to tell. Mumbai Customs introduced some changes in their manpower and also initiated a backlash by thumping in 4 goals in the second half with MS having no response. MS lost out on all 3 points despite a brave start in the game that ended 4-1 favouring Customs. They stand last in the pool with just 1 point in 4 games and will look forward to bounce back in their game against another experienced opponent, Western Railway.
