After a much deserved break, MS returned to the field for their encounter with Sellebrity FC at the Neville D'Souza Ground, Bandra. MS blanked out Sellebrity FC 3-0 in a very eventful match and the victory pushed the former up the table.

Filled with confidence, MS kept the pressure on their opponents instantly. Having majority of the possession in the first half, MS found the breakthrough in the 35th min. MS Midfielder Shrinath G scored in textbook style from a distance after some neat combination play with Rishabh V. Not very late, MS fired another one just before the break as Sandeep M latched on to an aerial pass from winger Dilip M to slot in his debut goal.

MS maintained their strategy and performance going despite the 2-0 lead. MS Coach Maclin D'penha avoided any changes as the unit marked all the boxes in his list. Sellebrity FC's experience kicked in the second half as their midfielders were able to hold on to possession. They had their chances to get on the scoresheet but their strikers failed to provide the decisive touch. Despite the attack, MS found their third goal in the 75th min as Sandeep buried a low placed shot which skimmed the goalkeepers gloves before finding the net. Things got heated and some unnecessary aggression from Sellebrity FC marred the dying minutes of the second half. Their players got into heated altercations with the referee as the game slipped off their hand. They indulged in clattering tackles and potentially dangerous play against MS. The referee refrained from showing Sellebrity players the red card on several occasions as they resorted to violent conduct. MS kept their cool and held on to their three goal cushion which got them the 3 points.

MS have back to back matches in the week ahead and will look forward to continue their form to qualify for the playoff spots.
