After back to back losses in their previous two games, MS regained their form with a 1-0 victory over Companeroes.
MS maintained a good tempo by keeping possession and attacked often from the wing. They created some promising moves but were unable to deliver the final pass on several occasions whereas Companeroes were playing on counter and man marking.
The breakthrough came in the 23rd minute after some brilliant combination between the midfielders and strikers. Akshay M at the receiving end, cut inwards and curled the ball in the net. MS kept up the pressure and almost doubled the lead, but for a brilliant save by the Companeroes custodian who denied a left volley from Ravish D with an outstretched fingertip save. The first half was a smooth operation for MS as they walked out with the lead.
MS continued their game plan as the Companeroes were sitting back and playing on counters.
The game took an unfortunate turn for MS as a 2nd yellow card resulted in a red to their Midfielder Amit Koli for an off the ball incident. Companeroes there on upped their tempo in search of the equaliser as MS shifted their focus to hold on to the lead. The MS defence kept their attacking moves at bay and were successful in holding on to the lead. Companeroes had their chance to equalise late in the game but some goal line clearances from the MS keeper and Defenders meant that MS saw off the match with the lone goal and also with 3 points.
The game ended 1-0 in favour of MS as they look forward to their next encounter with ICL Payyade.
