Mumbai Strikers SC continued their unbeaten run after registering a formidable 7-0 victory against Rhema Sports Foundation. The encounter at Cooperage went one side right from the start as Mumbai Strikers stamped their authority in every department on the field.

Shaun Menezes drew first blood within 10 mins of kick-off and it was his first for Mumbai Strikers SC and for this season. Not very far from the first goal, newcomer Himesh Mistry struck gold with a magnificent shot to gain his maiden goal for Mumbai Strikers. Attacking spearheads Ravish D’souza and Akshay Devadiga grabbed the lions share by contributing 5 goals between themselves. Ravish D was the star with an enthralling hattrick and Akshay’s brace added to the misery of the opponents as well. MS led 6-0 in the first half and the spectators expected a double figure rout of the opponents. However, Rhema SF staged a fighback by holding MS for the entire second half and allowed a goal only seconds before the final whistle.

MS have maintained their unbeaten streak so far and will want to continue it with KSA when they meet them on Feb 13.
