The MS dugout were nothing but a happy lot as they beat the Mumbai Muslims comprehensively by 3-1 in their twelfth match of the campaign. In what was a complete takeover by MS, they had cruise control in the proceedings of the encounter.

Winger Abhijit S led the pack by scoring an early goal that dented the confidence of the Mumbai Muslims. Midway in the half, Frenix R netted the second goal to keep MS in a commanding position. Frenix R got his first goal in his two years at the club. Complacency crept in as MS conceded a goal as the Mumbai Muslims capitalised on a napping MS defense. They got into the game on time as the first half concluded 2-1.

The second half was a clear replica of what happened in the first 45 mins. Mumbai Muslims tried to find an equalizer, but much to their disappointment, MS held them well to keep them at bay. MS thumped in a third goal with a fantastic header by midfielder Rajkamal Shere who scored his first goal of the campaign. MS ended with a much needed positive result of 3-1 and will want to end the remaining 2 games in similar fashion.
