MS went down 1-3 to Kenkre FC in their fourth encounter of the MFL Elite Division held on 8th April at the Neville D'souza Football Ground.

The Strikers had the better of a first half that ended 0-1 to Kenkre FC. MS had majority posssession in the first half as they were comfortable building-up from the back. MS were able to create several clear-cut chances for its strikers to get on the scoresheet. The first real chance for MS came in the 25" when full back Madhusudan Phadale found debutant Gaurav Adhikari in the Kenkre D-box. Gaurav went pass the CB with ease and unleashed a shot that was saved by the onrushing keeper. Another chance came just minutes later when the MS custodian Abhishek Singh found Striker Sandeep Manoharan with a defense clearing long pass, but a heavy touch by Sandeep landed the ball in the keepers safe hands. In the 32", MS winger Arsalan Hamdulay was put through on goal by a delightful outstep pass by Sandeep but yet again Kenkre's custodian pulled off another superb save. Arsalan  was in the thick of things as another chance created by Amit Koli. put him through on goal but an indecisive touch helped the retackling defender clear the danger. All the missed chances proved costly for MS as a well executed counter attack saw Kenkre FC break the deadlock in the 38" via a low cross from the wing finding the Kenkre striker for a tap-in. The first half ended with MS trailing by a solitary goal.

The second half saw the scales tilt towards Kenkre FC as they were looking better in possession post the lemon break. Kenkre FC doubled their lead in the 57" when yet another counter attack found the MS defense napping. Another through ball in the 67" by the Kenkre FC midfielder split open the MS defence and the Kenkre FC striker made no mistake in converting his chance as his low hard shot went through the hapless MS keeper. MS were able to get a goal back immediately to keep its hopes alive. In-form Striker Sandeep Manoharan scored his fifth goal of the season, put through by Gaurav A. after some neat combination play with Rakesh P. on the flank. Sandeep could have scored another a few minutes later and reduce the margin but his effort whisked the far post much to Kenkre's relief after a pinpoint pass provided by Ravish D. MS ran out of time as the game ended 1-3 to Kenkre FC at the final whistle. MS look to bounce back as they face Bombay Muslims FC next on the 12th of April.
