MS got off to a wonderful start to their MFA Elite Division campaign this year with a 2-1 victory over their opponents, FSI-Sea View. MS started their first game of the campaign with a marvelous goal in the first minute itself, crushing their opponent's determination right from the start.

The goal scorer being MS Forward Sandeep Manoharan who put it past the keeper beautifully with his weaker foot after a wonderful combination of two touch between Akshay D and Arsalan H. Akshay D played a magnificent pass through the defence like a knife through butter leaving the opposition no chance to recover as Sandeep put himself on the scoreboard. MS were in cruise control in the first half dominating possession and creating chances although there were a few moves by FSI Sea-view, the first half had MS written all over it . The second half began with FSI-Sea View determined to get back in the game, but our midfield and defence held the fort like true warriors by winning the ball in the middle of the pitch quite a few times as there were some beautiful retackles from MS number 6 Amit Koli with our entire backline chipping in a few tackles of their own. FSI Sea-view came up with a few threats of their own as they started to put in some fair share of crosses from the right flank which caused some problems for MS, but some timely saves from MS keeper Abhishek singh kept them in the game. MS were quick to get a goal in the beginning of the second half in the 54th minute as Sandeeps left foot nailed FSI Sea-view coffin a lilttle bit tighter with a well timed finish after an exquisite pass from Arsalan H set Sandeep up with a one on one with the keeper . FSI Sea-view got one back as their winger cut in and dribbled and scored a rather marvelous screamer from 25 yards out in the 74th minute . Although there were moments of struggle in the second half for MS but overall a great performance set them apart from their rivals as they won 2-1 over Fsi sea-view in the season opener .

MS have their second match against Bombay Gymkhana on the 29th of March at 2:30 pm at cooperage.
