Mumbai U-14 Boys Team emerged champions in the Maharashtra Inter-district Junior Boys that was held by the Palghar Dahanu Taluka Sports Association. The squad was led by Firmin D’souza who was selected as Head Coach of the Mumbai team this year. They comprehensively defeated Pune in the finals of the tournament by 4-0.

The Mumbai team were brilliant in the entire tournament. They had an undefeated run throughout after beating the likes of Aurangabad, Thane and Sangli. Not only did they beat these teams, they also maintained a clean sheet in the encounters. Mumbai carried on the streak till the finals and beat last year’s champions Pune.
