In the best match of the season so far, Mumbai Strikers played out an energetic draw against group leaders Century Rayon who had won all their games comprehensively before this one. Despite being down to ten men for literally 75 minutes of the match, MS etched out a valiant fight back and kept the opponents at bay.

In nearly the 16th minute of the match, MS defender Arnold M was given marching orders for illegally pulling a Century Rayon forward who had a clear run towards goal. However, that did not hamper the intensity of the MS attack. The moment of glory arrived when MS defender Karan P lobbed an accurate pass to striker Ravish D, over the Rayon defense. Ravish D went on a lung-bursting run and placed the ball well to beat the goalkeeper. MS led 1-0 at half time.

The second half was nothing less than the first as the excitement built up. MS were defending with grit and valour while many attempts on goal from Rayon went futile. In the dying moments of the game, the MS defense succumbed to the pressure and Century Rayon set scores even with an equaliser.

The draw fetches MS another point and their tally goes up to 8 points in 4 games. Coach Firmin D was more than happy with the fight back and called for more hard work and concentration for the next encounter on 23rd March against GMSC.
