Mumbai Strikers SC were in for a surprise as they confronted their first loss in the Premiership Football League at Palava. Table toppers Sunday Boys who are in exquisite form scored two vital second half goals to snatch all three points from the encounter.

The Sunday Boys were in attacking mode right from the start. However, MS also had their chances which unfortunately went down the drain. Akshay D had a chance to break the deadlock when he came into a good position to score but lost balance and agonisingly misfired. Stepping into the second half, MS were tested too often in all departments of the field. MS were somehow unable to convert any move that they created to attack the Sunday Boys net. The Sunday Boys took advantage of the momentum and scored two goals owing to the unfortunate passing and defensive errors by MS players.

The Strikers stand third on the table despite the loss and will look to win their next encounter against Springfield FC.
