St. Mary’s girls make it to the U-18 Maharashtra Rugby squad

St. Mary’s is once again in the spotlight this time around as their students were chosen for the All India U-18 Girls 7s National Rugby Tournament.

The girls from St.Mary’s viz. Ruchi Shetty, Roshni Sharma, Jeevika Pawar, Shweta Parab, Sharon Waghmare and Shikha Thakkar were selected for the Maharashtra team which participated in the major tournament held at Nagpur on the 1st and 2nd of November 2014.

Overall the Maharashtra team stood 7th among the participating teams. KISS (Orissa) were the eventual winners whereas the runner-up spot went to Jungle Crows (Kolkata).

MS congratulates its players and the Maharashtra team for putting up a good show at the Nationals.
