Mumbai Strikers has signed a new sponsor for its training kit for one year, the latest in a series of commercial deals cashing in on its huge local following.

Mumbai Strikers has signed a sponsorship deal with Shivam Sports, which will see the retail sports outlet's logo feature on the training kit. The partnership will see Shivam Sports become the first commercial brand to benefit from a permanent presence on the official team training kit.

Rohit D'Souza, Co- Founder of Mumbai Strikers, said: “Mumbai Strikers are proud to have Shivam Sports as part of the MS family. We will be beginning a new journey together, which I am sure will bring us both great satisfaction. It is a shared journey based on commonly held ideas and shared values such as thoroughness, exactitude ambition, teamwork, innovation, a global vocation and passion for what we do.”

The Shivam Sports logo will be worn for all training sessions as well as during local tournament participation in the 2014/15 season. Shailesh (owner and founder) of Shivam Sports added: “This is a start of what I am sure will be a long and mutually rewarding relationship between Shivam Sports and Mumbai Strikers, because both brands have so many shared values, inspirations and beliefs.”
