Mumbai Strikers SC began their footballing season with the Premiership Football League held at the Palava Titans Ground at Dombivali.

In their first match, MS locked horns with Royal United Kalyan and the squad was filled with some new faces. Within 5 minutes of the match, MS midfielder Akshay S had to be replaced due to an elbow injury after accidentally tripping over an opponent. However, that did not hamper the spirits of the team as they went on to win 3-1 in their first match.

Goals from Saurabh S, Reuel K and Akshay D secured three valuable points for MS. Reuel K was awarded the man of the match for his all round effort and a goal.
