In a nail-biting friendly match, Mumbai Strikers SC locked horns with Fr Agnels, Vashi at the lavish Fr Agnels Turf Ground in Vashi. The match took place on the 8th of January and both teams looked good to take on each other on a cool and bright Thursday evening.

The home team obviously were favorites as the match began, but as it progressed they realised MSSC would not give in easily. MSSC played a very different formation of 4-4-2 from their usual style of 4-2-3-1 and so it did take a while to adjust to the new strategy. There were attacks of high intensity from both ends and at times there were defensive lapses which led to a score of 4-4 at the end of regulation time. Ravish D scored 2 goals while Midfielders Abhijit S and Aditya S chipped in a goal each for the Mumbai Strikers.
