Written by

The Mumbai Strikers Rugby players attended the trials for the U-19 National Camp where players from all over the state took part. The trials were held from the 21st of October to the 28th of October at Bombay Gymkhana. After a week full of toil and sweat, Kirk Aranha, Keagen Aranha, Ajay Narasimhan and Vijay Narasimhan were selected for the Maharashtra squad that travelled to Nagpur for the All India U-19 Boys 15s National Rugby Tournament which began on the 29th of October and ended on the 2nd of November.

Maharashtra faced Bihar in their first encounter at the tournament. It seemed more of a one-sided affair as Maharashtra dominated the proceedings and went on to win 68-0. MS boys Ajay N and Keagen A pooled in one and two tries respectively. Orissa was the next opponent and the result never changed for Maharashtra as they proved victorious by a score of 36-0 where Ajay N once again contributed a try in the overall score.

At the end of it all, Maharashtra stood third in the tournament and it was an excellent tournament and opportunity for the MS Rugby players.
