MSSC coach Firmin D’souza did not hesitate in beginning with his new signings for the first encounter against St. Paul’s, Dadar. He introduced a completely different midfield line-up which was a gamble that paid off well.

Sunil Pedamalli and Sagar Sadadekar were introduced as wingers due to their swift  and dangerous approach towards opponents while Amit Singh and Rameez Wadekar were entrusted defensive responsibilities in the midfield keeping in mind their strong tackling techniques. Vernon Saldanha, also a new signing this year,  stepped onto the field in the second half of the match to strenghten the midfield with his experience and exquisite ball touch.

It was truly a gamble that paid off well as none of the debutantes disappointed in their first match for MSSC.
