It is an achievement that was long time pending and MS has finally qualified for a newer and tougher challenge next season, the Super Division. The players were ecstatic after winning the Semi Final as the association rules allow the 4 semi finalists to be promoted to the next division of the Mumbai Football League. Mumbai Strikers SC as a club has grown over a period of time in terms of its footballing capacity. It has been registered with the Mumbai District Football Association for 15 years and after all the ups and downs it has faced over this period, they have stepped into a new era altogether this time. As any other club on the planet, players have come and gone, but the overall objective of the team has not changed. Keeping the objective in mind, the players have trained on the field and contributed off the field as well.

It was for the first time last season, MS chose a coach and mentor Mr.Firmin D’souza. His experience & expertise were a boon to the team. The club has performed consistently well since his appointment as Head Coach. Last year, MS missed out qualification from the play offs by a single goal, which did not disappoint him. Rather, It motivated him to find the loopholes and get the team to work on them. Due to the unstoppable dedication of the players and immense guidance of the coach, MS has marched forward to this day where they emerged victorious in the First Division, winning their first ever title in 15 years and qualified for the Super Division.

With continuous effort of the players on and off the field, the club expects to grow tenfold in the near future and hopes to achieve more.
