Mumbai Strikers (MSSC) and ICL battled it out for a 1-1 draw at the MSSA ground on 17th April, 2014. Ravish D’souza opened the scoring for Strikers within the first couple of minutes with a left footed volley from the top of the 18 yard box. This lead was cancelled out at the stroke of half time as a center from the right found an untracked ICL player run whose failed attempt to control the ball however managed to trickle in the net beating the hapless MSSC keeper.

This tie was crucial for both teams in terms of making it to the playoffs. A win would have been ideal for either side. Both teams had already dropped points with a loss each. With RBI and Goans SC also fighting for a playoff spot, every team will be keen to perform well and will also be closely monitoring the other results in the pool. In another important fixture on 22nd April 2014, RBI managed a vital win over Desperados FC by a solitary goal.
