Firmin stays on as Mumbai Strikers coach

Written by
Mumbai Strikers Sports Club is delighted to announce that Firmin D'souza has agreed to continue as Head coach of the MS Senior football team for the season 2014-15.

He along with Assistant Coach Raymond Barnes were instrumental in the 5th place finish that MSSC managed in the 1st Division in the previous season. Unfortunately, that feat wasn't enough to capture promotion. The first 4 teams secured promotion.

MSSC and Firmin together have set a goal for the upcoming season which is clinching promotion to the Super division. Anything less than that will be considered as failure.

Following the appointment of Firmin, MSSC Manager Rohit D'souza said: "In Firmin, we have secured the services of one of the best coaches in Mumbai today."

Groundwork has already begun for the season which is rumoured to start in the last week of August 2014. New signings are being worked on and open trials have already been scheduled.

Congratulations to Firmin and we wish him the very best for the upcoming season.
