Mumbai Strikers SC registered a 2-0 win against Mira Bhayandar FC in their eighth match of the Premiership Football League. In spite of three successive defeats, the players looked more confident and the morale was high. Saurabh S filled in for the first goalkeeper Vatsal B for the third time in the tournament. However, that did not hamper the plan of the team as they created attacking moves right from kick-off. Joel Modi claimed his spot on the scoresheet as he netted in the first goal. He raised his tally to 3 goals in the tournament while MS ended the first half on the brighter side.
The second half was no different as one of the moves enabled Rakesh P to bag his second of the tournament. Rakesh P slotted one home with a simple tap in making it 2-0. Mira Bhayandar lost the plot completely as the MS defense thwarted all their efforts of getting back into the game. Madhusudan P grabbed the man of the match for his brilliant defensive performance.
MS will face toppers Ambernath United in their last encounter of the league and will look to finish off on a good note.
