Seven girls from Mumbai Strikers Women’s Rugby team made it to the Maharashtra U18 team which will participate in the Societe Generale Junior National Rugby 7s Championship. The tournament is being held at the Bombay Gymkhana ground in South Mumbai.

Shikha Thakkar, Shraddha Lawand, Kshitija Manglurkar, Krutuja Manglurkar, Riya Coutinho, Sreeya Shetty and Gargee Walekar were listed in the Maharashtra squad for this tournament. The event is being played in the 7s format and for the first time is being held with the support of Societe Generale which is a French multinational banking and finance company.
