Ruchi Shetty, an MS Rugby Player and an alumna of St Marys Convent, Mulund was selected for the India Camp for an pre olympic qualifier after a winning performance at the 35th National Games which were held at Kerala in February. Ruchi represented the state of Maharashtra in Rugby who ended the tournament on a high as they were runners-up and won the Silver medal.

Going back in time, Ruchi who is an active Touch Rugby player started Contact Rugby only last year and has pushed her limits to be a good athlete in the Contact version as well.

Unfortunately, Ruchi was not selected in the main squad that took part in the Pre Olympic qualifiers held at Chennai, but that has not created a dent in her determination and dedication towards the sport. MSSC congratulates Ruchi on this maiden achievement and wish her nothing but success for a bright Rugby future !.
