Mumbai Strikers SC were delighted as they moved a step ahead to the play-off spot courtesy a walkover by Cochin FC against whom they were to play their MFL match on 11th February at 4pm at the St. Xaviers Ground, Parel.

MSSC players were all set for the encounter and had to win this one but were in for a surprise as the opponents did not show up. To earn walkover points, the team that has reported on match day need to step on the field for a few minutes as suggested in the rule books. In order to fulfil the norm, Coach Firmin D’souza called for a light-hearted and fun-filled practice session on the field. MSSC are now drawn up against Juhu Beach United on the 25th of February which also is a crucial game from the play-off perspective.
