MS are completely out of the fray for the top four spots as CFCI recorded a thumping 5-0 victory and handed them a fifth straight defeat in the Elite Division Season. Initially in the game it looked evenly poised and everyone was in for a contest. However, MS lost control in the second half and also all three points which were vital after having lost the previous 4 games.

The first half was competitive and promising for both sides with quick transitions. Towards the end of the half, MS gave away an unnecessary penalty which put CFCI ahead. The second half proved to be more eventful, but most in favour of CFCI as they scored through a header in the 1st minute of the second half. Troubles grew as defensive errors marred MS with Rakesh P scoring an own goal and in a span of few minutes GK Abhishek S flew in with a careless tackle to give away another penalty. In the midst of all the chaos, MS managed to give away another goal and CFCI ran away with all 3 points.

With the top 4 spots out of reach, MS need to rethink their entire game plan and Head Coach Sandeep S with this contingent have a tough job at hand to chalk out a new strategy that may help them secure wins in the remainder of the season.
