It has been a while we heard some Rugby news and nothing is better than listening to a good one in a long time. The Mumbai Strikers Senior Girls Team represented Mumbai Suburban at the U-17 Maharashtra District Rugby Tournament which was held at Chiplun on May 1 and 2 this year. The tournament was held at the Pawan Talao Maidan and exactly 26 teams took part in the event.

The squad that represented Mumbai Suburban at the tournament is as follows Gargi Walekar, Sreeya Shetty, Kshitija & Krutuja Manglurkar, Riya Coutinho, Shraddha Lawand, Swati Shenoy, Mehek Okoth, Saloni Khobrekar and Mansi Salvi. It was a tough tournament with several other states vieing for the title. At the end of it all, the girls earned the Winners trophy in the Women’s Category after beating Gondia in the finals.

MS Congratulate the girls on their achievement and wish them good luck for the remainder of the Rugby season.
