Mumbai Strikers Womens Rugby Team player Gargee Walekar and the U18 Women’s team returned after the conclusion of the World Games that were held in Paris. The Indian contingent had participated in the first ever rugby edition of the World Games and had a decent run in the tournament.

The Indian team were handed defeats in their first three encounters of the tournament by the likes of Baby Paris Ladies, AAS Sarcelles and Atlantis Girls. They put up a tough fight and went down to the Paris Ladies and AAS Sarcelles but were completely dominated by the Atlantis Girls. However, the defeats not dent their spirits as they rose with a brave victory against UAE as they hammered them 50-0 on Day 2. They faced AAS Sarcelles once again and this time avenged their defeat by a scoreline of 17-7.

The Indian Women ended the tourney on a winning note and will look forward to go all guns blazing in the next edition of this tournament.
