Mumbai Strikers’s Community Outreach Program spreads its wings

Written by
SWIs active wing Mumbai Strikers SC along with several volunteers have made it possible to extend sport to the community with the Community Outreach program. The program has been running in affiliation with the Municipal Corporation of greater mumbai. Players from MSSC and other volunteers have been going to train children at Municipal Schools located in the suburb of Mulund.

Activities related to various team sports are being conducted in sessions at these schools. A Basketball program is held at the P.K. Road Municipal School while Football and Rugby Sessions are conducted at the Sewaram Lalwani Municipal School. The program has made its mark in the eastern side of the suburb as well with Handball being taught at the Navghar Municipal School.

Almost a dozen MSSC Senior team members along with a few volunteers have made this program possible. Expansion of this program is very much on the cards of SWI and we welcome anyone who want to be a part of this endeavour.
